Dr. Odie Douglas

Dr. Odie Douglas currently serves as the assistant superintendent responsible for overseeing educational services and supervising schools in the Pleasanton Unified School District located in Alameda County. He earned his Doctor of Education degree at the University of San Francisco.

Dr. Douglas has served as an adjunct professor at California State University, Sacramento. He taught courses in educational leadership, multicultural education, community relations, special education and categorical programs, and curriculum and instruction.

Dr. Douglas serves as a national consultant for the College Board and AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination). He previously served as a member of the College Board’s National Academic Assembly and Western Regional Council. He is a Commissioner and Executive Committee member for the Accrediting Commission for Schools - Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Dr. Douglas regularly makes local and national presentations on promoting equity and access for all students in rigorous academic classes and using disaggregated student performance data results to build an AP (Advanced Placement) program. He has co-authored training modules in these areas for instructional leaders, teachers, and counselors. His most recent award includes being recognized as the 2017 Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Region 6 Central Office Administrator of the Year.
